Day 1 - Travel

A blur. I left California at 8:30 Tuesday morning (woke up at 5) and now it's 8:30 Wednesday morning and I'm taking the tube from Heathrow to Central London. It's 24 hours later, but only 16 hours have gone by.

My first flight from SFO to JFK was unreal. I had the last seat just before the bulkhead that separates the two sections of economy class and our row reclined.  I kicked up the foot rest, laid back, talked to the awesome Israeli couple next to me (who have been married 50 years and were on their way home), and read The Innocent Man by John Grisham (thanks Uncle Herb!). I forced myself to stay awake the whole flight so I could start to adjust to the time difference.

After landing in JFK, I changed planes, finished the book on the runway, and tried to get some sleep. Now it's morning again so I'll save today's adventures for day 2. Planning on giving the book to someone I meet in London.
